Answers to the most common questions about BirthBreeze.

How does the breathing rhythm work?

Open Settings (pull up the card at the bottom) and choose a rhythm: 4 seconds in and 8 seconds out, or 3 seconds in and 6 seconds out. One in-breath and one out-breath make one cycle. A session is a number of cycles called sets, from 1 to 12.

Why can't I change the sets or rhythm during a session?

These settings are locked while a session is running or paused so the timing stays steady. Press Reset first, then change them.

Which languages are supported?

The app's screens and breathing counter are available in 50 languages, chosen in Settings. The whole app, affirmations included, is translated into every one of them. Voice, a calm human reading of the affirmations and the breathing cues, is available in a growing list of languages, and more are being added.

Does BirthBreeze work without internet?

Yes. Your data, preferences and settings stay with You on Your device, so the app works the same when You're offline.

The screen turned off during a session. What can I do?

BirthBreeze asks Your device to keep the screen on while a session runs. If Your screen still locks, check in the iOS Settings app that Auto-Lock is not set to a very short time and that Low Power Mode is off.

Is BirthBreeze free?

The core app is always free to use: guided breathing, vibration cues, the Embers theme and a core set of affirmations in Your own language. A one-time payment of €9.99 gives You a lifetime license that unlocks over 100 affirmations, spoken affirmations, 12 background sounds, the Forest and Midnight themes and a 48-hour log of Your sets. There is no subscription.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings in the app and tap "Restore purchase". You need to be signed in with the same Apple Account You used to buy it.

Is BirthBreeze medical advice?

No. BirthBreeze is a relaxation and breathing tool. It does not diagnose, treat or monitor any condition and is not a substitute for advice from Your midwife, doctor or other healthcare provider. Always follow Your care team's guidance.
